The Celtics somehow came away with a Game 1 win thanks to Jaylen Brown's game-tying three-pointer with just seconds remaining in regulation. Jayson Tatum led the way for Boston with 36 points, while Brown finished with 30. The Pacers were led by Domantas Sabonis' 24 points and 17 rebounds.

The game was a back-and-forth affair throughout, with neither team able to gain a significant advantage. The Celtics led by as many as 10 points in the second half, but the Pacers rallied to tie the game late in the fourth quarter. The game went into overtime, and the Celtics eventually pulled away for the win.
